The Historic Old Town District, which occupies most
of North Riverfront Drive, is an area rich with history
and charm. Several unique stores are housed in
beautiful, historic buildings dating back to the 1800’s.
Some of the delightful shops you’ll find include
The Little Red Shed, with everything from country candles
to children’s keepsakes, Enchanted Forest featuring
many things Minnesota, and Encore!, a consignment clothing
boutique. After an hour or two of shopping, stop by
The Coffee Hag for a refreshing drink or the Wine Cafe
for a glass of wine and specialty sandwich.

Best known for its antique shops, several wonderful
dealers include Generations Antiques, Antique Mart
and Earthly Remains. Other shopping in the
area includes Once Read used book store, featuring
already-enjoyed books; Larry’s Lizards, home
of all sorts of reptilian pets; Mystic Emporium,
a fun gift shop for everyone; and Kickin’ Vintage,
a step back in time you will fine clothes, toys and
furniture from the 1970’s.

With more than 100 specialty stores, 10-restaurant Carousel Café food court, Olive Garden, a turn of the century carousel, multi-screen movie theatre, a Children’s Play Area, Preferred Family Parking and Family Restrooms, the River Hills Mall is Southern Minnesota’s premiere shopping center.
