Meeting Minnesota's Workforce Needs: Workforce Assessments on July 23, 2012 in Greater Mankato
On July 23, the state along with several partners will turn their attention to the current and future workforce needs in the agriculture industry. The meeting is part of an initiative designed to gather critical workforce-related data from companies representing key industries to ensure Minnesota State Colleges and Universities align their certificates and degrees, worker training and customized training programs to jobs in demand. During the meeting, participants will be asked to share data such as required skills, number of workers, kinds of jobs, etc.
All agriculture-related businesses are encouraged to attend July 23 from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm at the Greater Mankato Business Development Center at 1961 Premier Drive, Mankato, MN, to ensure the workforce data collected truly reflects the needs of the agriculture industry. Lunch will be provided following the meeting.
The sessions are being championed by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and local chambers, Minnesota Initiative Foundations, Minnesota State Colleges and Universitiesand other private, public sector and non-profit organizations.
