Greater Mankato's higher education institutions have enrollment of over 14,000 students, and the majority of these students are employed in the community.   • Minnesota State University, Mankato - the third largest education institution in Minnesota. MSU's engineering programs are nationally recognized and were ranked among the top 50 undergraduate programs in the nation by 200 U.S. News & World Report. MSU is a "key campus" for recruiting by IBM and an active participant in partnerships with industry.

WORKFORCE TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

Are your employees productive from day one on the job? Company-specific customized training programs are readily available through the Greater Mankato area's secondary education institutions.

The Center for Continuous Learning is a cooperative partnership between Minnesota State University, Mankato and South Central College. This unique collaboration provides the resources of both institutions to meet your training needs. The CCL will meet with employers to develop assessment programs, course content, and deliver training on or off campus.

MINNESOTA JOB SKILLS PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM

The Minnesota Job Skills Partnership Program is a partnership between business and education in developing cooperative training projects that provides training for new jobs or retrain existing employees. Grants are awarded to educational institutions with businesses as partners. Up to $400,000 per grant.
